The Horticulture Conference: A Stunning Success
The Horticulture Conference was last week and was, by all accounts, a stunning success.
Innovate from Seed to Plate was the theme this year, promoting fresh thinking and technology. This was matched not only by our array of excellent speakers, but by the opinions and insights brought by the attendees. From robots in the fields to food safety in the supermarket, a huge variety of topics were covered, and we thank all speakers, attendees, and our wonderful hosts at the Rutherford Hotel.
Look to the future, and look at the markets. Get a clear vision of what the market will look like, and how you can service that market meeting its needs. Deep consumer insight will inform the next generation, and collaborative risk taking will move us forward; these are just some of the insights we got from the discussions and debates at conference.
Horticulture has the potential to transform NZ, and we need to tell the story about our people, and how we look after our people, our land, and our water
To all of you who attended, spoke, and helped with the conference, thank you.
Those hard yards and difficulties we faced getting the conference up and running were vindicated in the end product, and we consider the conference a great success for us and the industry.
