Assessment of the requirement for, and the impact of, not providing sufficient irrigation capability to allow for root stock survival on the Waimea Plains. Prepared for Horticulture New Zealand by The AgriBusiness Group.
The purpose of the study is “to demonstrate why any component of authorised water use for rootstock protection or survival purposes should be assigned a delimited priority during identified stepped rationing of all water users in the Waimea Plains Water Management Zones under a drought event.”

Land Management Practices and Nutrient Losses from Farms on the Poverty Bay Flats
The Gisborne District Council (GDC) is interested in gaining better understanding of the impact of land management practices on the nutrient losses from farms on the Poverty Bay flats. The objective of the project is to develop an understanding of the major sources of nutrients in freshwaters of the Poverty Bay flats and the current land use practices that may be contributing to elevated levels of nitrate and phosphorus.
Nutrient Performance and Financial Analysis of Horticultural Systems in Horizons Region
The study, prepared for HortNZ by The AgriBusiness Group, collected primary physical, financial and environmental data from growers in the Horizons Region to provide representative models of vegetable systems and to analyse the impact of mitigation practices on the environmental and economic performance of the farms.
