Register for HortNZ’s online He Waka Eke Noa webinars

15 November 2021

HortNZ represents the horticulture industry in the He Waka Eke Noa partnership on climate change. Over the past two years, the partnership has been working on design options for a pricing system for agricultural greenhouse gas emissions. This means, nitrous oxide from synthetic nitrogen fertiliser, and methane and nitrous oxide from animals.

HortNZ is hosting two webinars in November open to anyone from our industry, to discuss the pricing system options and what this might mean for growers.

A second round of engagement is planned for February 2022, where the wider industry and public will have another opportunity to provide feedback on the design options for a pricing system. This will include a series of webinars (dates to come) to hear industry feedback on the pricing options. HortNZ will collate feedback into a revised submission on behalf of all growers.

In April 2022, He Waka Eke Noa presents pricing system recommendations to Ministers.
