Save the dates for Young Grower of the Year 2022

Dates have been set for next year’s Young Grower of the Year competition.

The national final will take place in Nelson on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 September 2022.  The regional final dates are below: 

• Pukekohe: 20 May 2022
• Hawkes Bay: 26 and 27 May 2022
• Central Otago: 17 June 2022
• Nelson: 1 July 2022
• Gisborne: 14 July 2022
• Bay of Plenty: 20 July 2022.

The 2021 competition was a huge success. The seven participants took part in a wide range of challenges, with Bay of Plenty’s 2020 winner, Melissa van den Heuvel winning for 2021. The calibre of finalists is ever-increasing, with the contestants’ speeches and performance on the leadership panel impressing the audience with sharp wit, savvy ideas and oratory skill.
