Why Taste the Yakka
This campaign aims to share the dedication, innovation, and resilience of our local growers who continue to provide the fresh produce Kiwis love so much.

Not everyone knows all the ongoing challenges facing New Zealand food producers; rising costs, unpredictable weather, stringent regulations, and sustainability pressures.

This campaign exists to change that by fostering a deeper understanding and support for those who work tirelessly to bring fresh produce to our tables.

Taste the Yakka is about understanding and appreciating the immense effort, skills, resilience, passion, and innovation that go into growing our food. By raising awareness, we aim to inspire support for policies that will sustain and strengthen New Zealand’s horticulture industry.
Recognising the dedication of our growers is crucial for making informed decisions that benefit our food supply, environment, and communities. Join us in supporting the heart of our nation’s food supply—together, we can make a difference.
